Water Source Changes (October 2026)

Dear Customer,

NOW IS THE TIME: Winter is coming and overnight freezing temperatures are already upon us. This time of year, turf grass starts going dormant and does not have the irrigation demand it has during hot summer months. Please help us conserve water (reduce system wide water demand) while preventing damage to your home by disconnecting outdoor hoses from spigots and winterizing (blowing out) your sprinkler systems.

The District has now transitioned from our surface water source (Lake Woodmoor) to 100% groundwater sources (deep wells), this transition was finalized on 10/15/2026.

Some customers may notice a change in the aesthetics of the water, this is to be expected as each water source has unique characteristics. Customers can be assured that the quality of the water is continuously monitored by certified water professionals throughout the treatment processes to ensure that the water delivered to our customers is safe and in compliance with all State and Federal water quality standards.

Have you had your meter replaced? If not, please review our Meter Replacement Plan and give our office a call at (719) 488-2525 Ext. 10 to schedule your appointment.

Sincerely,

Dan LaFontaine
