TextMyGov Announcement

We are thrilled to introduce TextMyGov to our customers, a convenient and informative text messaging service that will enable us to contact our residents regarding important notifications.  We will be implementing this service during business hours, to start, and eventually replacing our after-hours emergency phone message.

The District will officially launch the new text messaging system to the public on December, 8, 2025. Residents may receive a text message from 91896 from the District initiating the service. You can choose to opt-out at any time by texting STOP. Residents may receive notifications for outages, emergencies, construction projects, etc.

If you don’t receive the initial message, you can choose to opt-in by texting the keyword “WWSD” to the number 91896. After sending the initial keyword, you will be asked to reply “YES” to confirm opt-in. Residents that opt-in using this method may not receive location specific emergency notifications, only general notifications. Please call the office to verify we have your most up to date contact information to ensure you receive location specific emergency notifications.

Our use of this technology is another example of how we enhance resident services by implementing 21st-century solutions.  We’re excited about this new way of communicating with residents and look forward to sharing important District notifications. Other governmental entities across the country are utilizing this system with great success. Stay informed, stay ahead.
